Western Cape Information
The Western Cape, an area considered to be one of the most beautiful in Africa and known as the tourism capital of South Africa. Although the Western Cape is seemingly smaller when compared to other provinces in South Africa, the Western Cape draws millions of international and local tourists each year.
The Western Cape forming the most southerly part of South Africa lies bordered by two oceans, the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic ocean with the two mighty oceans meeting at the south-western tip of the African continent, Cape Point.
The Western Cape is divided into 7 regions namely Cape Town, the Breede River Valley, the Cape West Coast, the Cape Winelands, the world renowned Garden Route, the Klein and Groot Karoo, the Overberg/Whale Coast.
The Western Cape was blessed with two of Africa’s most dramatic landmarks, Table Mountain and Cape Point. The heart of the Western Cape is Cape Town, recognized by Forbes as one of the 10 most exquisite cities in the world with its warm 14 hour summer days and mild winters.
