CAMP GECKO is situated on the D1275 down spreetshoogte pass. experience the real "out of africa"-feeling with bush-tents (en-suite bathrooms) placed in the silence of the savanna. the panoramic view of the naukluft mountains, the most beautiful sunsets in namiba and the silent magic of the african sky and nature will stay in your memories forever! we offer: 5 upgraded bush-tents with en-suite bathrooms (either with 2 single or 1 double bed), small braai places and various campsites. (1 family tent in construction) facilities: natural swimming dam with bar, barbeque, lapa with bar, private air strip, botanical hiking trail accomodation: dinner, breakfast and on request lunch as well as meals for vegetarians, excellent cuisine activities: paradise for hikers, scenic walks, farmdrives, botanical hiking trail, bow-shooting, romantic sundowners, swimming, bird-watching, picking oranges/lemons and grapefruit on our plantation (seasonal), two-day excursions, trips to sossusvlei - gaub canyon - namib naukluft, rock-paintings, etc. enjoy home-made marmelades, syrup, chutney and vegetables from our garden! please note: unfortunately we are not able to receive payments by credit card ? please pay in cash. thank you for your understanding! NEW: Unique Hand-made knives for sale!!! there is no electricity at the bush-tents. if you need to charge batteries, you are welcome to do this at the farmhouse. light is provided by paraffin-lamps as well as with a camping-lamp we provide to you. the water is drinkable and very good. hot water is provided by a ?donkey? which is heated up with wood. the tents are equipped with real beds and bedding, towels, extra-blankets, moscito-nets, moscito-coils. next to the tents there is a small braai place as well as a sink to do the dishes. on the terrace you will find a table and chairs so you will be able to enjoy the incredible view and silence of this magic place?.
